Previously we ran a survey and some people (thank you guys!) answered to the following question: "Is there anything we can do on our website to make it more useful?". Here are some of those answers:

  • if I choose several lessons to play a game, I should be able to save this selection to resume after log-out. Also should be shown my favorite language-combination as a shortcut after log-in. Thank You!
  • i would like to can learn the grammar in each lesson too (tenses formules, verbs conjugations, etc) thank you a lot for this web page!
  • I would like that you make more simple exercises that could be printed
  • how to talk to other
  • For some languages such as Romanian, the accents are not included

We are going to do our best and work on implementation of these suggestions.

First, let me say that this site of yours is an excellent idea. (I´ve just discovered it...)
But, unfortunately, the portuguese language still hasn´t sound.
I have a few ukranian immigrants trying to learn some basic pronounciation, and I´ve been saving some wav files with the reading of simple texts for them.
If there is any kind of trouble finding people to «read» the words in portuguese (european) please contact me...

Thanks, emn. In fact where I live it's quite easy to find people speaking Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, English, German... But not many european Portuguese. To be able to add Portugues audio I need a person who speaks Portugues natively, who has a nice voice (no voice defects) and pretty good with recording sounds (knows how to use Cooledit Pro or Sony Soundforge or alike). If you meet these criteria I'll be more than happy to use your help.

Well, ... just tell me what to do. I´ll send you a sample for you to check out if my voice is suitable and if the recording sounds right.

I would like to see the stressed syllable marked in the word lists. It would be much faster than to start the audio-version.

It seems like a need for transcription for each word. At this moment we can do only transliteration for some languages but transcription is much more difficult operation. I am keeping my eyes open and as soon as I find some program (or programs) that provides transcription for different languages I'll embed it to the site.

Hi, ive been using the site for a few weeks now without any problem, but since the site was updated a few days ago, i cant get into any of the lessons! I can choose the language pair, see the lesson list....but when i try and go into one of the lessons, an error page comes up with this message (java.lang.NullPointerException). Is anyone else having this problem? I dont know if its just my computer or the site.
Thanks for your help

Yep, I've just reproduced this problem - it happens when you open your own lesson, right? I am going to fix it today. Thanks for ringing the bell!!!!!

I m having trouble playing the games on the English to Ukrainian lessons.  Keep getting some type of script.  Mostly on the Matching and Guessing games.  When I click on the icon, it just takes me back to the home page.
By the way, I love your site!

Can you give more details? Fore example "I am going to lesson "Animals", click Matching Game icon and it takes me back to the home page.
